Are you looking for a new challenge? Fancy helping us shape the future of motor insurance? Prima could be the place for you. Since 2015, we have been using our love of data and tech to rethink motor insurance and bring drivers a great experience at a great price. Our story began in Italy, where we have quickly become the number one online motor insurance provider. In fact, we are trusted by over 5 million drivers. And now we are expanding to help millions more drivers in the UK and Spain.
To help fuel that growth, we need a Chief of Staff to join our Management Team in the UK. You will act as a key advisor and operational lead for the UK Country Manager, in a hybrid Business Operations and Strategy role. Your mission is to drive execution of the business plan, lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, and elevate the quality of analysis, reporting, decision-making, and communication across the country organisation. You will turn business complexity into clear, actionable insights and ensure priorities move forward with pace and accountability.
What you'll do:
- Business planning & execution support: work closely with the Country Manager and the UK Management Team to translate strategic priorities into concrete initiatives, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
- Cross-functional strategic leadership: lead end-to-end strategic projects, coordinating stakeholders across Commercial, Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance, Data, and other functions.
- Advanced analytics & decision support: own high-impact analyses to identify business drivers, performance gaps, and growth opportunities, turning insights into clear recommendations and action plans.
- Performance management & reporting: monitor core KPIs, identify trends and root causes, propose corrective actions, and build effective reporting cadences with strong data quality and narrative.
- Executive support & communication: support leadership operating rhythms with executive-ready materials, decision follow-ups, and hands-on execution when needed to ensure delivery.
What we're looking for:
- You make it happen: 25 years of experience in strategy, consulting, business operations, strategic PMO, corporate strategy, business planning, FP&A, or similar roles. Proven track record of delivering cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to move from analysis to practical execution and measurable impact.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, or another quantitative field.
- You challenge the status quo with data: strong quantitative reasoning, comfort with ambiguity, ability to structure problems and validate hypotheses with data. Advanced Excel / Google Sheets; ability to build solid models, scenarios, and business cases. Strong PowerPoint / Google Slides skills.
- Languages: English (professional fluency to work with international stakeholders and produce executive materials).
- Hands-on support when needed: In critical initiatives, jump into operational execution to remove blockers, align teams, and deliver outcomes.
Nice-to-have:
- SQL and/or BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and experience working with data teams.
- Experience in digital businesses with strong KPI culture (funnels, cohorts, unit economics, retention, CAC/LTV).
- Experience in insurance / fintech / insurtech environments.
Why you'll love it here:
- We want to make Prima a happy and empowering place to work. So if you decide to join us, you can expect plenty of perks.
- Work Your Way: Enjoy hybrid working, with a mix of home and office days. Plus, for up to 30 days per year, work from anywhere.
- Grow with us: We may move fast at Prima, but we move together. Get access to learning resources, mentorship and a growth plan tailored to you.
- Thrive and perform: Your best work begins when you feel your best. Enjoy private healthcare, gym discounts, wellbeing programs and mental health support.
