As a Multi Skilled Worker – Plasterer you will be completing all repair and improvement work safely, efficiently and to client satisfaction. You will actively participate in ensuring any safeguarding or repair concerns are noted and reported.

Location: Liverpool, Sefton, Wirral

Salary: £33,530 per annum

Main Duties:

  • Perform a range of repairs, maintenance and improvement works as required.
  • Locate properties in various surrounding areas and effectively use a map and take directions.
  • Organise daily jobs effectively and independently, taking into consideration job priority and appointments made.
  • Assist colleagues in ensuring timely completion of jobs.
  • Document all orders and job sheets efficiently and produce accurate reports regarding works undertaken and properties visited.
  • Communicate effectively with internal office staff, colleagues, managers and customers.
  • Perform other duties as appropriate to the job level, including providing support to colleagues as directed by the manager.
  • Complete jobs in priority and completion date order.
  • Attend and participate in training and information sessions relating to health and safety and relevant processes.
  • Help achieve our aim of becoming the 'contractor of choice' by providing excellent service to our customers and working closely with our partners.
  • Ensure compliance with the Group’s health and safety policies.
  • Undertake relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) applicable to their professional body and be prepared to undertake training as directed by the Group.
  • The post holder may be directed by their line manager to carry out other duties and responsibilities in line with his/her post, grade, skills, knowledge and experience.

Skills & Competencies for the role:

  • NVQ level 2 qualification in core trade (or equivalent).
  • NVQ level 3 is desirable.
  • PASMA training is desirable.
  • Carry out all aspects of plastering to a good standard.
  • Proficient in at least one of the following: Joinery, Tiling and finishes, Plumbing, Groundworks.
  • Customer focused and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Work in an efficient manner, completing jobs and arranging materials to minimise non-productive time.
  • Work with other trades in delivery of more complex or multi-discipline orders, being mindful of the effect one trade's actions may have on another.
  • Methodical, accurate and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • High degree of initiative to complete jobs by target date.
  • Ability to query jobs and liaise with office staff and managers.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
  • Working to deadlines and agreed targets.
  • Full awareness of relevant health and safety requirements and considerations.
  • Dealing with members of the public on a regular basis.
  • Excellent standards of communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience of working with Housing Associations and delivering repairs is desirable.
