An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the team of our client, a renowned organization that provides exceptional care and support to older individuals. They are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse with a genuine passion for dementia care and high-quality nursing.
To plan, monitor and deliver the highest standards of personalised care to residents, ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and dignity, and that individuals' rights to privacy, dignity, independence and choice are met.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £18 per hour
Licence/Certification: NMC PIN (required)
Location: In person, Lancashire (close to Blackpool)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To formulate and implement nursing care plans, providing the highest level of personal care and attention to residents, following individual care plans carefully and ensuring that all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive.
- Understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements which are relevant such as Health & Safety, COSHH, all aspects of the Care Standard Act and ensure that the correct accident and incident reporting procedures are followed to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.
- To be aware of your responsibility for ensuring the people you are looking after are safeguarded from abuse.
- Provide and supervise the delivery of nursing care, acting as a resource for all the caring team, identifying any training and development needs, assisting colleagues to their maximum and assist in training programmes.
- Maintain NMC professional registration and be conversant with the NMC Codes including; professional conduct, scope of professional practice, standards of administration of medicine, standards for records and record keeping and exercising accountability.
- To dispense and administer medication to residents as prescribed, accurately maintaining appropriate records.
- Carry out effective stock control of residents prescribed medication and medical products for the home. Inform the Line Manager as to the requirements.
- To respect and maintain confidentiality of residents' personal information at all times, this includes residents' behaviour and actions and any incidents that may occur in the course of day-to-day care.
- To be an active and encouraging member of the Care team, contributing to staff meetings and care plan review meetings, ensuring good communication and assisting in the induction and training of newly appointed members of the care team, ensuring the home is a friendly, supportive and caring environment.
- To complete all appropriate paperwork regarding enquiries for vacancies and ensure they are followed up appropriately.
- Undertake appraisal and supervisions for certain employees.
- Participate in individual supervision, training and appraisal, as agreed with your line manager.
- Safeguard at all times the confidentiality of information relating to staff and residents.
- Undertake any other operational duties identified by your line manager.

- Registered nurse with current NMC registration
