Our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join their team at Neurological Care Home in Newcastle upon Tyne. As a Registered Nurse in our unique care environment, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care, rehabilitation, and support to individuals with neurological and long‑term nursing conditions.
Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent
Salary: £18 per hour
License/Certification: NMC PIN (required)
Location: In person, Newcastle upon Tyne
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patient‑Centered Care: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that focus on promoting the well‑being and quality of life for residents with neurological conditions.
- Clinical Expertise: Utilize your specialized neurological nursing knowledge to assess, plan, and deliver safe and effective nursing interventions tailored to the unique needs of each resident.
- Rehabilitation Support: Provide rehabilitative care to residents, assisting them in regaining independence and transitioning to independent living when appropriate.
- End of Life Care: Offer compassionate care to residents nearing the end of life, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wishes are upheld.
- Family Collaboration: Collaborate with families, significant others, and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and person‑centered approach to care.
- Respite and Step‑Down Care: Support residents during respite stays and step‑down care periods, facilitating their transition between levels of care.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records, while effectively communicating with the care team, families, and medical professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Quality Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of care standards by actively participating in quality assurance initiatives and staying updated on best practices in neurological nursing.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered nurse with current NMC registration
- Experience in care of the elderly
- Practice knowledge of care planning
- Professional, understanding and patient with a warm personality
- Good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates a caring disposition towards others
- Reliable and punctual
- Team player, willing to train and develop colleagues
