Shift Pattern: 06:00-14:00, 10:00-18:00, 14:00-22:00

Your Role

As part of our friendly and experienced quality team, you'll help ensure the highest product standards for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the Raw materials’ control and the suppliers’ performance by checking Incoming goods documentation and Certificate of Analysis for each raw materials delivery and Product Specification
  • Developing, maintaining, and verifying internal checks such as Incoming Goods (Raw Materials) testing
  • Testing and reserving raw materials for production
  • Reserving product for customers
  • Controlling non-conforming raw materials (quarantined product)
  • Managing the Quarantine database
  • Dealing with any issues involving raw materials out of specification during delivery and communicate this to the suppliers
  • Supporting with Customer Complaints
  • Investigating Returned Product
  • Investigation of complaints via the Complaint database
  • Assessing the Finished Products by checking and validating blend and starch checks
  • Conducting and monitoring finished product organoleptic testing and recording on Cheese testing database
  • Developing, controlling, and updating procedures in relation to Cheese testing
  • Support the Sample management and New Product Development
  • Organising and making the samples for Export and UK Departments
  • Assist and organise ongoing project & development work for new customer both UK and Export
  • Experimenting with new blend formats and writing reports for reference
  • Assist and organise projects for new cheese applications
  • Assist and maintain Shelf-life testing
  • Supporting the team in Waste management projects by By-product control
  • Cheese waste control
  • Be able to carry out Traceability checks
  • Be responsible for cleaning and preparing production knives
  • Be a good communicator – Ensure all departments relevant to quality of raw materials and finished product are communicated in the correct manner
  • Work in a timely manner with deadlines and targets met at all times
  • Any other reasonable duties as required by the Quality Control Manager or Quality Control Coordinator
  • Maintaining paperwork and sample traceability
  • Supporting food safety and quality at all times

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Food Science and Nutrition (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a food environment
  • Understanding of QC testing methods and sampling procedures
  • Strong IT and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage your workload independently and effectively under pressure
  • Experience using quality management systems and maintaining documentation
