We are now looking to appoint a Global Commercial Executive to strengthen our Global team and support our expanding international operations.

The Role: This role is responsible for managing and developing Prima’s global customer base through a combination of customer aftercare, proactive account development, and remote business development activity. The position plays a key role across the full customer lifecycle — ensuring existing customers receive a high level of service and engagement, while also identifying and developing new commercial opportunities through remote prospecting and coordinated global marketing activity. Working cross‑functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and events teams, the role ensures that customer communication, market engagement, and commercial priorities are aligned to support sustainable international growth. This role offers a clear development pathway into a future account management role within Prima’s Global Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Account Management & Aftercare: Act as a key point of contact for existing global customers, ensuring a professional and responsive service across all interactions. Manage ongoing customer relationships post‑onboarding, supporting order flow, queries, and general engagement. Liaise with internal teams (technical, operations, finance, NPD) to resolve customer queries and provide timely, accurate feedback. Monitor customer activity and order patterns, proactively engaging customers where activity levels decline or opportunities exist to increase volume. Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions within Salesforce.
  • Remote Business Development & Prospecting: Identify and engage new business opportunities across global markets through email, phone, and digital channels. Build and manage a pipeline of prospective customers aligned to Prima’s strategic growth regions. Support conversion of leads generated through exhibitions, marketing campaigns, and inbound enquiries. Present Prima’s product range and capabilities effectively to potential customers in a remote selling environment. Work closely with senior sales team members to transition qualified opportunities into active accounts. Collaborate with the marketing and social media teams to ensure messaging is aligned to target markets and regions. Support localisation of key messages to ensure relevance across different countries and customer segments. Provide feedback on customer trends, enquiries, and market insights to inform marketing strategy and content. Assist in promoting new product development and campaigns to both existing and prospective customers.
  • Events & Global Coordination: Work closely with the events team to support planning and execution of international exhibitions and trade shows. Assist in pre‑event outreach (customer invitations, meeting scheduling) and post‑event follow‑up. Support lead capture, qualification, and follow‑up processes to ensure maximum ROI from events. Where required, represent Prima at international exhibitions and customer visits.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. Contribute to the alignment of commercial objectives across the business. Provide regular updates on customer activity, pipeline development, and market feedback. Ensure all activity is data‑driven, supporting performance tracking and continuous improvement.

Person Specification

  • Experience: Experience in a customer‑facing, sales support, or business development role. Exposure to international markets or export environments desirable. Experience using CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) preferred.
