The Opportunity

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Finance & Payroll Assistant to join our Finance team.

You’ll be organised, detailed orientated and comfortable working in a fast-paced Finance environment.

This is an opportunity to play an important role within the business, helping to support our payroll and wider finance functions.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Finance and wider finance teamand the work you do will help support our customers, colleagues and wider business, making a real contribution to Prima's continued growth and success.

No two days are quite the same, so we're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Process the company’s monthly payroll and all associated submissions
  • Processing invoices, following authorisation procedure, and ensuring accuracy
  • Liaising with suppliers for queries and reconciliations
  • Supplier account creation and maintenance
  • Weekly Creditor Reports – Invoices and credits required
  • Preparation of monthly supplier analysis reports
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Daily Bank Balances Reports
  • Bank account reconciliations
  • Bank account revaluations
  • Assist with month end procedure as required
  • Assisting other departments with financial queries
  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the Head of Finance

About You

You’ll be organised, dependable and able to manage changing priorities whilst maintaining a high standard of work.

Ideally you’ll be

  • Organised team player

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload
  • Working knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll and ideally experience with Sage 200
