The Opportunity

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Transport Planner to join our busy Logistics team and help keep our operation moving smoothly.

This is a key role within our Logistics team, supporting the planning and coordination of daily transport schedules to make sure deliveries and collections are completed on time.

You’ll be working closely with drivers, hauliers, ports, customers, suppliers, and internal teams to help ensure finished goods are ready, routes are planned, paperwork is accurate and any issues are dealt with quickly and professionally.

No two days are quite the same, so we’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and able to stay calm in a fast-paced environment.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Planning and coordinating daily transport schedules, deliveries, and collections.
  • Allocating vehicles, drivers, and routes to support an efficient operation.
  • Liaising with internal departments to make sure finished goods are ready in line with loading schedules.
  • Working closely with freight forwarders, hauliers, ports, customers, and suppliers.
  • Raising orders and sales orders using internal systems and Sage 200.
  • Arranging and completing transport and shipping documentation accurately and on time.
  • Supporting the loading and dispatch of orders.
  • Helping resolve transport or customer queries in a timely and professional way.
  • Maintaining high standards of service, accuracy, and customer care.
  • Supporting the wider team and contributing to a smooth day to day operation.

About You

You’ll be organised, dependable and comfortable working in a busy Logistics environment.

You’ll enjoy working with different people across the business and externally, and you’ll take pride in keeping things accurate, on track and moving.

You’ll be someone who can manage changing priorities, communicate clearly, and find practical solutions when plans change.

You’ll ideally have

  • 3+ years experience in a similar transport, logistics or planning role.
  • HGV rules and transport compliance knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Webfleet would be desirable.
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence working with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and hauliers.
  • The ability to manage your own workload and work well as part of a team.
  • A reliable, flexible and solutions focused approach.
  • A strong team ethic and willingness to support others.
