Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and Student Recruitment and the Marketing Campaigns Manager to develop marketing plans for key recruitment campaigns across undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the UK and internationally.
- Lead the delivery of campaigns and projects within budget, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting progress to the Marketing Campaigns Manager.
- Track, monitor and analyse campaign progress, producing effectiveness reports with budget and KPI tracking information and recommendations.
- Generate innovative and creative campaigns that integrate digital and traditional media to maximise recruitment and market share.
- Develop and lead lead nurturing and conversion activities for prospective students and applicants.
- Build strong relationships with staff across academic and service departments, as well as with third-party partners such as UCAS, The Student Room and IDP.
- Maintain relationships with advertising agencies to contribute to trackable advertising campaigns aligned with budget and KPI targets.
- Drive online engagement activities for prospective students and applicants to meet KPIs.
- Write content for and manage the production of marketing collateral across website, social media and online platforms.
- Promote the implementation of the university’s branding guidelines across all marketing materials and brief suppliers accordingly.
- Represent the university at external and internal events, including open days, UCAS conventions and other exhibitions.
- Support colleagues during periods of high demand, including attendance at key university events and ceremonies, with flexibility for weekend and evening work.
- Engage in university-level projects and initiatives as directed by the line manager.
- Promote equality of opportunity and support the university’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Participate in continuous personal and professional development and undertake relevant training and activities.
- Fulfil health and safety responsibilities and support the university’s sustainability commitments.
Essential Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Degree level education or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience working in marketing/communications across the full marketing mix.
- Successful management of multiple marketing communication campaigns simultaneously.
- Extensive experience in digital marketing and use of emerging channels to target audiences.
- Proficiency in using market research to inform campaign plans.
- Experience in creating campaign analysis reports and making recommendations.
- Excellent understanding of various marketing channels to reach target audiences.
- Comprehensive understanding of brand management principles.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
- Strong project management and budget management skills.
- Willingness and ability to work flexibly, including weekend and evening hours.
- Oral and written Welsh proficiency at Level C1.
