Pride in Luton is a Luton-based charity dedicated to supporting the LGBTIQ+ community. The organization runs monthly support groups for Trans+ adults and parents of LGBTIQ+ children, alongside social initiatives like "Sunday Socials" and "Queer and Crafty." Pride in Luton also organizes the annual Pride in Luton festival, which attracts over 5,000 attendees, as well as events such as club nights, quiz nights, karaoke, and the Big Pride Family Picnic. The organization works closely with partners like the NHS, Police, and local authorities to advocate for inclusivity and ensure the voices of the LGBTIQ+ community are heard. Pride in Luton envisions a future where equality and inclusion eliminate the need for dedicated support services.
This role sits at the centre of our delivery model, working across community engagement, partnership development, programme management, and strategic growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening services that support the LGBTIQ+ community across Luton and Bedfordshire.
Role overview
- 30 hours per week across 4 to 5 days
- Salary £31,200 per year with potential increase in year two
- 2 year fixed term contract subject to funding
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Additional paid closure between Christmas and New Year
- Hybrid working including presence at the Hat Factory Arts Centre
Key responsibilities
- Strategic and operational delivery of Pride in Luton programmes and events
- Partnership development across voluntary, community, and statutory sectors
- Oversight of funding, evaluation, and programme reporting
- Volunteer, contractor, and seasonal staff coordination
