Overview
Deputy Head of Stages (Volunteer Role) at Pride in London. Two roles available: one with a pastoral focus supporting a team of about thirty volunteers; the other with a technical focus interpreting technical requirements and equipment. Start January 2026; end/review August 2026. Both roles support the Head of Stages across four Pride in London stages and may interact with performers, suppliers, community groups, and other Pride in London affiliates. Availability on event day is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Mentoring, guiding and training junior team members.
- Overseeing stage teams responsible for collecting, monitoring and recording all stage content from artists (primarily via email) and managing workload for two stages.
- Maintain full understanding of the status of the two stages and report back to the Head of Stages/Pride in London senior stakeholders.
- Model Pride in London’s values and behaviours.
- Provide tools, knowledge and experience to enable timely delivery of plans.
- Be available to work on Pride in London day.
- Ensure production aligns with LGBT+ community interests and diversity goals.
- Monitor current risks to the LGBT+ community and advise directors on risks and mitigation.

- Events and production experience with understanding of stage management and technical requirements.
- Team leadership skills: ability to oversee, mentor and coordinate junior team members.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, including email management and stakeholder liaison.
- Availability on Pride in London event day (mandatory).
- Commitment to LGBT+ inclusion and understanding of community values and diversity priorities.
- Flexible problem-solver who can multitask across multiple stages and work under pressure.
