About the role: Our Risk Line of Service helps clients to anticipate, understand and transform how they manage risk to their business (e.g. financial, operational, regulatory and strategic) and help them respond to risk events when they hit. Our Banking Financial Risk team helps clients to mitigate risk and respond to regulatory change, navigate compliance and ensure continuity through crisis. The team is looking to significantly grow and scale its capabilities to become the market leading firm of choice for these services for clients. We are hiring individuals to join our team at Manager level who have knowledge and experience of prudential risk and/or regulation for the banking sector. We are open to individuals who have experience from consultancy roles and/or working in risk finance or treasury functions at a bank.
What your days will look like:
- Being agile to work on engagements spanning credit, market and treasury risk management, operating model transformation, front office and traded risk booking model restructuring, capital optimisation and meeting regulatory obligations for capital and liquidity requirements.
- Working with our technology specialists to develop new technology solutions to take to market and/or enhance our client service.
- Working as part of project teams and day-to-day liaison with clients (including senior level client stakeholders).
- Identifying the impact of prudential regulatory changes and supporting clients to adapt to the challenges a new regulatory landscape presents.
- Developing your technology skills including GenAI use cases for risk and regulatory requirements and processes.
- Preparing regulatory analysis and reports.
- Supporting senior team members through the development of marketing and sales activities.
- Relationship building and networking with clients and internally across PwC.
- Participating in PwC's Thought Leadership.
This role is for you if you have:
- Knowledge of investment banking, retail and/or wholesale banking products.
- Knowledge in one or more of: Credit or counterparty credit risk management, traded risk management, treasury risk management, risk and regulatory driven transformation and change projects, capital optimisation and balance sheet management, Pillar 1 capital/liquidity requirements.
- Good written, verbal and numerical skills.
- Good relationship management skills.
- Experience of problem solving and navigating through complexity.
