Senior ManagerJob Description & Summary
About the role:
At PwC, we help organisations reimagine how work gets done and how people experience their organisation. Workday is a powerful platform for enabling that change, but our focus is broader than configuration and deployment. We help clients make better decisions about their workforce, modernise HR services, improve data quality, simplify processes and deliver transformation that creates lasting value.
As a Workday Senior Manager within our Workforce Transformation practice, you will play a delivery-focused role across complex Workday programmes. You will lead Workday teams and major workstreams, build trusted senior client relationships and take accountability for quality, outcomes and value realisation. This is not a purely oversight or people leadership role. You will be expected to stay close to the detail, contribute hands-on where needed and provide practical Workday expertise across design, delivery, governance and issue resolution.
Alongside delivery, you will contribute to business growth, people development and practice development. However, the core expectation is that you can lead from within the programme, combining senior delivery judgement with credible, hands-on Workday capability and the ability to support teams through complex delivery challenges.
What your days will look like:
- Lead complex Workday and workforce transformation programmes from strategy and design through deployment, adoption and value realisation, ensuring successful business outcomes.
- Act as a Programme, Solution, Functional or Workstream Lead on major implementations, providing leadership while remaining hands-on enough to guide design decisions and resolve delivery challenges.
- Lead and support multidisciplinary Workday teams across functional, integration, reporting, security, testing, data, change and programme management workstreams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders and executive sponsors, facilitating workshops, shaping future-state operating models and driving outcome-focused decision-making.
- Take ownership of delivery quality, governance, risk management and programme recovery, helping clients maximise the value of their workforce technology investments through optimisation and continuous improvement.
This role is for you if:
- Current Workday certification (or equivalent) with extensive experience leading complex Workday and workforce transformation programmes in large-scale client environments.
- Deep expertise across one or more Workday domains, with the ability to provide hands-on guidance, challenge solution design and support delivery teams across the wider Workday landscape.
- Proven track record of leading major programmes, workstreams or transformation portfolios, balancing strategic leadership with detailed delivery oversight when required.
- Strong understanding of HR transformation, workforce technology strategy, process design, data, change and operating model considerations, combined with excellent executive stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially astute leader with experience in business development, solution shaping and practice growth, who is passionate about developing people, building future leaders and solving complex client challenges.
What you’ll receive from us:
No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.
We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
