About the role
The Commercial Excellence practice at Strategy&, part of the PwC network, is a fast-growing team with incredible momentum and senior support aimed at accelerating the firm’s ability to deliver client impact in the areas of pricing, salesforce effectiveness, go-to-market strategy and marketing effectiveness.
We are a tight-knit, entrepreneurial team of strategy consultants with deep knowledge of pricing and commercial excellence, coupled with experience working across industries and private equity operating teams.
Given the rapid growth we are experiencing in winning client projects, we have the remit to accelerate the growth of team and strengthen our capabilities.

What your days will look like:
Advising B2B organisations on go-to-market strategy, commercial excellence, sales effectiveness or revenue growth transformation
Serving technology, software, business services or other B2B sectors, including work with private equity portfolio companies where appropriate
Demonstrating success building trusted relationships with senior client executives, including Chief Executive Officers, Chief Revenue Officers, Chief Commercial Officers and private equity operating partners
Originating, shaping and winning consulting engagements and contributing to sustained practice growth
Leveraging AI for internal and client facing work
Showcasing Industry experience in commercial leadership, revenue operations or sales leadership roles is advantageous
This role is for you if:
Experience operating at Director or equivalent level within a consulting environment
Expertise across one or more areas of Commercial Excellence, including:
Go-to-market strategy and commercial growth planning
Customer segmentation and ideal customer profile design
Commercial operating model and organisational design
Sales effectiveness, coverage and territory strategy
Revenue operations and performance management
Customer lifecycle strategy spanning acquisition, expansion and retention
Commercial performance improvement and growth transformation
Leveraging AI to enhance GTM motions
Ability to lead large, complex commercial transformation programmes from diagnosis through design and implementation
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategic recommendations into measurable revenue and EBITDA outcomes
Proven ability to originate and develop client opportunities through business development, executive relationships, proposals and thought leadership
Experience leading multidisciplinary consulting teams while coaching and developing high-performing colleagues
Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across client organisations and the wider PwC network
Significant client-facing consulting experience within a leading strategy consultancy or specialist commercial excellence consultancy
