SAP S/4HANA PP & QM Consultant – Senior Manager in London

About the role

PwC’s SAP and Operational Transformation practice is growing to meet strong client demand. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) engagements. You’ll bring deep functional expertise, a consulting mindset and the ability to shape end-to-end solutions that deliver measurable results across industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver functional consulting across SAP S/4HANA PP and QM, from strategy and design through build, test, cutover and hypercare.
• Shape fit-to-standard designs using SAP Activate; drive integration across MM, EWM, SD, EAM/PM and CO, and ensure solution quality and compliance.
• Manage a portfolio of client engagements, including planning, staffing, delivery governance, risk/issue management and financials (scope, budget, margin).
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams (typically 5–10 people), coaching and developing talent across onshore/offshore models.
• Define project strategies to solve complex technical and operational challenges; review and challenge team outputs to drive robust conclusions.
• Own key delivery workstreams: WRICEF oversight, data migration, testing/UAT, cutover planning and operational readiness.
• Build strong client relationships and stakeholder alignment across Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and IT.
• Contribute to business development: shape solutions, lead demos, size and price estimates, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and draft SoWs.
• Develop IP and accelerators (templates, estimation models, playbooks) and contribute to thought leadership.

Your focus areas (PP and QM)

• Production Planning: Master data: BOMs, routings/recipes, work centers/resources, production versions. Planning: Demand Management, MRP Live, pMRP; planning strategies (MTS/MTO/ETO); capacity planning; basics of PP-DS. Execution: Discrete, repetitive and process manufacturing; order management, confirmations, backflush, Kanban; settlement and variances.
• Quality Management: Inspection planning: MICs, inspection plans, sampling procedures, Dynamic Modification Rules. Inspection types: Procurement, in-process, production, customer returns, recurring, and calibration with EAM. Execution: Usage decisions and stock postings, defect recording, quality notifications and task processing, SPC/control charts. Supplier and warehouse quality: Q-info records, source inspections, QM in procurement and EWM inbound. Integration: Batch management and characteristics-based processes across MM, EWM, SD and EAM.

The skills and experience we are looking for:

• You have deep hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA (and/or ECC) PP and QM, with best-practice process knowledge.
• You have led multiple end-to-end SAP PP/QM design and implementation programmes delivered (greenfield, brownfield or selective).
• You have proven leadership of teams of 5–10, with strong coaching, quality assurance and delivery governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to engage business and technical audiences and influence decisions.
• Delivery know-how: SAP Activate, fit-to-standard, Agile ways of working, WRICEF governance, data migration (e.g., Migration Cockpit), testing and cutover.
• Comfortable with Fiori apps and embedded analytics for PP/QM operations and reporting.
• Beneficial: Experience in MM, EWM (including QM in EWM), SD (returns), EAM/PM (calibration), PP-DS, IBP, Variant Configuration, DDMRP.
• Advantageous: Pre-sales exposure (RFPs, estimates, SoWs, demos) and prior consulting experience.
