About the Role:
Our Microsoft business here at PwC UK, within our Consulting mid-market transformation practice, has seen some significant growth and prospects over the last few months, and we are looking to grow our capabilities further to meet growing market demands. Our Microsoft practice is engaged in helping small to medium-sized entities deliver successful Microsoft-based implementations and transformations, along with helping existing customers on Microsoft optimise and make the most of their investment in the technology.
As a Senior Manager and Microsoft D365 F&O Solution Architect within our Microsoft practice, you’ll work with the latest technologies and iconic companies on projects that are driving the future of those organisations. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a new and growing team and to progress your skills and career, with development opportunities across our risk and advisory business as well as broader business skills.
Being mobile is essential, as you’ll work on client projects that could be anywhere in the UK, but we will fully support hybrid working where possible. The same goes for your skill set: intellectually curious, dynamic, and the ability to challenge traditional approaches to deliver real transformation. Ultimately, an open mind to take advantage of all of the opportunities on offer is essential.
As part of PwC’s Consulting practice, you will have the privilege of acting as a trusted advisor to a diverse and expansive client base spanning multiple geographies and industries. This means that we have a real opportunity to enhance and refine our clients’ businesses through the use of ever-evolving technology. Of course, this will only be possible if we have the right people with the right skills and the ability to push the boundaries of how new technologies can support future business models.
What your days will look like:
- Be involved in anywhere between 2-5 Microsoft implementation or optimisation projects simultaneously across industry verticals and business process areas as an SME;
- Being overall responsible for Microsoft D365 implementation from a technical, functional, and/or organisational change management standpoint;
- Participating in business process mapping, including process analysis and design, gap analysis, functional system design and specifications, system configuration, and the development of system tests, procedures, and documentation.
- Analysing business/technical requirements and objectives, performing fit/gap analysis, and providing recommendations.
- Reporting to a partner or director, you will deliver Microsoft-related work to a varied portfolio of organisations in the UK across different targeted industries.
- Pushing the boundaries of what is possible, creating and leading new ideas and concepts through to fruition.
- Building and maintaining deep and long-lasting relationships with client personnel.
- Leading business development activity, including writing client proposals, facilitating our show home or model office, preparing and delivering client pitches with support from the team.
- Developing the careers of the teams working with and reporting to you and raising the profile of the team externally by expanding the network, including with external bodies.
This role is for you if:
- Extensive experience of Microsoft D365 experience as a Solution Architect and senior/lead consultant
- Experience of Microsoft architecture design for custom Microsoft solutions
- Strong exposure to finance, supply chain and manufacturing and warehouse management processes implementation.
- Experience in architecting Microsoft integrations with third-party systems.
- Develop innovative solutions for our rapidly expanding client base across a range of industries.
- Experience in leading business process design and discovery sessions
- Evaluate software purchases against SOW and provide GAP solutions.
- Develop customised functional design documentation.
- Knowledge of third-party vendors to enhance the overall solution
- Experience in demoing Microsoft D365 modules as features as proof of concept
- Experience in presales and assisting the sales team with scoping and SOW presentations
- Experience working directly with the project manager to manage scope and initiate change management procedures
- Industry experience: at least 10 projects within the manufacturing, industrial services, engineering, construction, business services, retail, and hospitality verticals.
- Good process knowledge of Microsoft solutions across key areas including finance, supply chain, manufacturing and warehouse management is preferred.
What you’ll receive from us:
No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions. We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
