About the role: Our Insurance and Asset & Wealth Management (I&AWM) practice partners with leading financial services firms to help them manage risk, meet regulatory expectations, and deliver sustainable value. We bring deep expertise across Regulatory Advisory, Risk & Control Advisory, Sustainability Advisory, and Internal Audit, enabling clients to respond effectively to a rapidly evolving business landscape.
As a Manager, you’ll take a leading role in delivering high-impact engagements, developing our propositions, and driving relationships that create long-term value. You will work with senior stakeholders across the industry, supporting their strategic priorities and guiding them through transformation, assurance, and regulatory change.
What your days will look like:
- Regulatory Advisory: Leading projects on prudential and conduct regulation, board effectiveness, supporting and reviewing the implementation of Consumer Duty, and major regulatory change initiatives.
- Risk & Control Advisory: Designing, implementing, and optimising enterprise risk frameworks and financial reporting controls (e.g. SOx / ICFR), capital and liquidity assessments, and governance improvements.
- Sustainability Advisory: Advising clients on sustainability strategy, climate risk, ESG reporting (e.g. TCFD, Net Zero), and integrating sustainability considerations into risk and business processes.
- Internal Audit: Scoping, delivering, and reporting on internal audit and assurance engagements, providing actionable insights to strengthen client governance and control environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Delivery: Oversee the delivery of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring outputs are high quality, commercially relevant, and on time.
- Client Management: Build and maintain trusted senior relationships, acting as a go-to advisor and identifying opportunities to bring value.
- Business Development: Actively contribute to practice growth by originating, developing, and converting new opportunities, as well as supporting proposals and bids.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop junior team members; foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
- Market Insight: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry, regulatory, and ESG developments, translating them into client impact and proposition enhancements.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other PwC specialists to provide joined-up solutions across regulatory, risk, finance, technology, and sustainability disciplines.
This role is for you if you have:
- Proven track record in delivering advisory or assurance engagements in at least one of the four core areas: regulatory change, risk & controls, sustainability/ESG, or internal audit.
- Experience managing multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to develop and innovate client propositions and translate market trends into solutions.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to operate at senior client levels.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of how complex organisations operate.
- Analytical and strategic thinking, with sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
