In this role, you will help organisations secure their industrial control environments, navigate complex OT/ICS risk, and modernise their security capabilities as they integrate digital technology with legacy operational systems. You will play a critical part in delivering OT security assessments, designing and enhancing control frameworks, advising on compliance requirements, and leading multidisciplinary teams on client engagements. This role suits a hands-on OT cyber professional with strong sector experience who enjoys solving practical operational challenges and working closely with engineers, plant operators, and technology leadership.

What your days will look like:

  • Deliver OT/ICS cyber risk assessments, maturity reviews, and threat analysis across manufacturing, energy, and utilities
  • Secure ICS, SCADA, DCS, PLCs, RTUs, SIS, and Industry 4.0 environments
  • Provide practical, operationally aware security recommendations balancing safety, availability, and cost
  • Lead OT cybersecurity engagements, including site visits, workshops, and remediation roadmaps
  • Apply IEC 62443, NIST 800‑82, NCSC CAF, and ISO 27019 frameworks
  • Analyse OT network vulnerabilities and legacy industrial risks
  • Support OT security control implementation (segmentation, access, monitoring, incident response)
  • Engage senior stakeholders and translate technical risk into business insight
  • Contribute to proposals, RFPs, and OT market growth initiatives

The role is for you if:

  • Strong experience in OT/ICS cyber security within industrial sectors (manufacturing, energy, utilities, transport)
  • Working knowledge of industrial protocols and OT architectures (e.g. Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA)
  • Experience delivering OT cyber assessments and architecture reviews
  • Familiar with IEC 62443, NIST 800‑82, NIST CSF, and NCSC CAF
  • Comfortable operating in live industrial environments (plants, factories, substations)
  • Strong communicator, able to engage engineers and senior stakeholders
  • Experience leading workstreams or small teams
  • Exposure to Industry 4.0, IIoT, or smart manufacturing initiatives
  • Understanding of energy sector regulations (e.g. NIS / NIS2)
  • Experience with OT monitoring tools (e.g. Dragos, Claroty, Nozomi)
  • Possess relevant certifications (e.g. GICSP, IEC 62443, CISSP, CISM) or have equivalent work experience
  • Operationally aware, safety‑conscious, and pragmatic, with strong analytical skills
