We are seeking an Indirect Tax Director to lead and grow our insurance indirect tax offering within Financial Services, shaping a high-performing team and delivering market-leading advice across the insurance sector. You will originate and deliver complex indirect tax solutions for insurers, Lloyd’s market participants, brokers, and MGAs, translating technical developments into practical, commercial outcomes. You will play a visible role in the market, partnering with other PwC teams across corporate tax, transfer pricing, deals and consulting to develop integrated solutions, and contribute to the growth of our broader Insurance Tax practice.

What your days will look like:

  • Drive Business Growth and Market Presence: Develop and execute strategies to expand the insurance indirect tax business, lead VAT and IPT market initiatives, and build a strong industry profile through client engagement and thought leadership.
  • Own and Deepen Client Relationships: Act as a trusted adviser on VAT and indirect tax for key insurance accounts, collaborate across tax and deals teams to identify cross-selling opportunities, and deliver integrated solutions to client challenges.
  • Lead Engagements and Teams: Manage complex projects from scoping to delivery with clear governance, inspire and grow high-performing teams, and provide coaching, mentoring, and rapid, actionable feedback to build succession depth.
  • Provide Technical Expertise and Representation: Advise on complex insurance VAT and IPT issues, review and sign off technical positions and client communications, and represent the firm at industry events to strengthen brand presence.
