The Financial Services sector is undergoing significant transformation driven by regulatory change, digitalisation, and increased complexity across global tax regimes. Indirect tax in particular is becoming more complex due to the expansion of digital reporting and e-invoicing regimes, increased scrutiny from tax authorities, and continued evolution of tax operating models.
These dynamics are driving strong and sustained demand for advisory support spanning technical indirect tax, operating model design, and technology-enabled solutions. There is therefore a clear opportunity to strengthen our market position through a senior Director who can originate and lead this work. Whist sitting within the FS team this role would provide support across other markets.
What your days will look like:
- Operating as a senior market-facing leader responsible for both origination and delivery.
- Developing and executing strategies to expand the indirect tax business, leading VAT market initiatives and building a strong industry profile.
- Acting as a trusted adviser on VAT and indirect tax for key FS accounts, collaborating across tax and deals teams to identify cross-selling opportunities, and delivering integrated solutions to client challenges.
- Leading complex advisory and transformation engagements by managing complex projects from scoping to delivery with clear governance.
- Building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and developing go-to-market propositions aligned to evolving regulatory requirements.
- Advising on complex VAT issues, reviewing and signing off technical positions and client communications, and representing the firm at industry events to strengthen brand presence.
This role is for you if:
- You have deep technical expertise with the ability to advise on complex VAT issues across the financial services market, translating technical developments into practical, commercial outcomes.
- You are experienced in leading complex indirect tax projects from scoping through to implementation, ensuring clear governance and successful outcomes.
- You have proven capability to develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and build a strong market profile through client engagement and thought leadership.
- You are skilled at inspiring, scaling, and managing high-performing teams to deliver excellence and foster growth.
What you'll receive from us:
No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.
