Our PE Portfolio team advises Private Equity backed businesses, working collaboratively across specialisms to drive value and help our clients succeed at all stages of the deal lifecycle.

The team operates on a national basis so that no matter where individuals are located, we bring the best experts to our clients and the broadest range of opportunities to our people. Our client base is truly international and we pride ourselves on the strength of our network. Our team is fueled by open and curious minds who are passionate about their work. As part of the team you’ll experience unparalleled opportunities to develop your career. The role would suit a candidate with a strong UK corporate tax background, a good awareness of other taxes, as well as experience of managing client accounts. Experience of transaction work and/or the Private Equity market is desirable, but not essential, as full training and support would be provided.

What your days will look like:

  • You will work in a team providing tax advisory services to a range of PE portfolio company clients delivering bespoke tax advice in relation to the PE portfolio company and the transactions it is involved with.
  • The work is wide-ranging including international tax and supporting our clients throughout the deal cycle.
  • Play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with clients, working closely with them to provide proactive innovative and commercial tax services.
  • Seek specialist input from other parts of tax and wider network - in particular Transaction Service and non-UK teams.
  • Be actively involved in business development activities, helping to identify and research opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Use technical knowledge and commercial awareness to help solve important problems for our clients.

This role is for you if:

  • Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, CAI) or Chartered Tax Advisor (ATT, CTA) or equivalent international qualification.
  • UK corporate tax skills and experience as well as good awareness of other taxes (VAT, employment taxes, management taxes etc).

  • A flexible approach to allow you to work as part of a number of client/transaction teams simultaneously.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and networks, both within the UK and overseas.
  • Strong analytical, project management and report writing skills.

What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.
