About the role

PwC is seeking an engaging, commercially driven, and client‑centric Senior Manager to lead sales and business development across our Cyber Managed Services portfolio. This portfolio spans three core offerings:

  • Managed Cyber Defence (MCD)
  • Managed Cyber Risk (MCR)
  • Managed Digital Identity (MDI)

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, shaping, and winning new Cyber Managed Services opportunities, acting as a bridge between client needs and our service delivery capabilities. You will play a key role in helping organisations strengthen their cyber resilience through integrated, outcome‑focused managed services. This is a client‑facing, commercially focused role combining pipeline development, solution shaping, senior stakeholder engagement, and deal leadership across the full Cyber Managed Services lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing

  • Business development & opportunity leadership
    • Identify, qualify, and pursue new Cyber Managed Services opportunities across priority sectors and accounts.
    • Build and maintain a strong, sustainable sales pipeline.
    • Lead complex sales cycles from early engagement through to contract signature.
    • Develop compelling value propositions aligned to client risk, regulatory, and operational priorities.
  • Pre‑sales and solution shaping
    • Shape client‑centric managed service solutions in collaboration with service delivery and engineering teams.
    • Translate client requirements into scalable, commercially viable offerings.
    • Define service scope, pricing approaches, and commercials in line with internal frameworks.
    • Support RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and senior‑level client presentations.
  • Client engagement & relationship management
    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, including CIOs, CISOs, COOs, CFOs, and CROs.
    • Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, and solution discussions.
    • Articulate the value of managed detection and response, SOC transformation, and platform‑led cyber services.
    • Build long‑term relationships that support cross‑sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Go‑to‑market & proposition development
    • Contribute to the evolution of PwC’s Cyber Managed Services offerings and go‑to‑market strategy.
    • Work closely with alliance partners (including Microsoft, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, and Google) to co‑develop opportunities.
    • Support the development of sales collateral, propositions, and campaign messaging.
    • Provide market insight and client feedback to inform service roadmaps and innovation priorities.
  • Commercial & deal governance
    • Lead commercial discussions, including pricing, contract terms, and risk considerations.
    • Ensure deals are structured for profitability, scalability, and delivery feasibility.
    • Work with finance, legal, and delivery teams throughout deal governance and approval processes.
  • Collaboration with service delivery
    • Partner closely with Managed Cyber Defence and Managed Cyber Risk delivery teams to ensure smooth transition from sales to delivery.
    • Ensure solutions sold are achievable, scalable, and aligned with operational capability.
    • Support early‑stage client engagement to enable successful mobilisation.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in business development, pre‑sales, or solution consulting within cyber security, managed services, or technology‑enabled services.
  • Strong understanding of Managed Detection & Response (MDR), SOC services, XDR ecosystems, or managed security platforms.
  • Experience shaping and selling services aligned to platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel/Defender, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Cortex, or Google SecOps.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including pricing and deal structuring.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging C‑suite clients.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions.
