About the role: Our Customer Led Transformation (CLT) team within Government & Public Services (GPS) helps public bodies design and deliver modern, citizen-focused digital services. We work with a diverse range of public sector clients across all sectors to transform customer experience, drive efficiency, and improve public outcomes through data-driven and technology-enabled solutions. Our team is growing and we are looking to recruit people who are passionate about improving public sector customer experience through service redesign, operating model transformation and deployment of new technologies. You will bring proven consulting experience and impactful customer experience improvement credentials.
What your days will look like:
- Customer operating model design and implementation for public sector organisations
- Designing and implementing technology solutions, with multi-disciplinary teams, for public sector organisations
- Driving pace and quality through robust agile delivery methods
- Working with teams that include our clients, UK colleagues and offshore delivery teams
- Working with technology alliance partners to bring the best solutions to clients and their maximising return on investment
- Taking ownership of deliverables and commercial decision-making throughout projects
- Working as part of the CLT team to deliver transformation programmes to our clients across the country
Establish effective working relationships directly with clients; Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen; Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues; Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients;
This role is for you if you really care about this market and bring that passion to drive change to how you work. We would expect sector and capability experience in one or more of:
- Experience working with public sector organisations (e.g. local government, health, transport, central government) or in consultancy supporting public sector clients.
- Core consulting skills and a proven track record of delivering transformation, cost savings, or procurement improvements.
- You’ll also be able to show how your work has delivered real, measurable benefits – both financial and non-financial – for your clients or organisation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience turning data into insight.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders and conducting commercial negotiations with suppliers.
- Familiarity with digital tools, data analytics, or emerging technologies like generative AI.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support clients on the ground.
