About the role

PwC’s Managed Services delivers trusted expertise, rapid execution, and enduring outcomes by blending cutting-edge technology with deep operational insight. As part of the Solutioning Team within the Managed Service Catalyst—a specialist group driving PwC’s managed services growth—we ensure our offerings address complex client challenges and position PwC to win and deliver transformative managed services engagements that create lasting strategic, regulatory, and commercial advantage. This role focuses on the design of scalable, process-led managed service solutions, within Financial Services – Banking and Capital Markets, Insurance, and Asset and Wealth Management and/or the Private sector.

Working as part of a broader pursuit team led by Directors and Partners, you will bring deep expertise in business process design, operating models, and service delivery frameworks, translating client requirements into practical, deliverable solutions. This role is particularly suited to individuals with a background in business operations bid solutioning and bid writing rather than technology architecture solutioning experience.

What your days will look like:

  • Support the qualification and shaping of managed service opportunities, working alongside senior stakeholders to understand client objectives, operating environments, and key constraints.
  • Contribute to the development of bid strategies and win themes, creating a clear narrative that links client needs, policy drivers, and PwC differentiation.
  • Translate regulatory, policy, and operational requirements into practical, scalable service designs.
  • Act as a core contributor and/or quality reviewer in bid development, supporting the creation of high-quality written responses that clearly articulate the proposed solution.
  • Work with commercial and finance teams to inform pricing assumptions, including effort drivers, process volumes, and resource models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technology, delivery, risk, and commercial) to ensure integrated solution design.
  • Support governance forums by preparing solution materials and responding to review feedback.
  • Contribute to a smooth handover from solutioning into delivery, ensuring clarity of design intent and operational requirements.

This role is for you if you have:

  • Experience designing and solutioning managed services or outsourced services, ideally across complex, regulated environments.
  • Experience contributing to bids or solution design activities, including written responses for client proposals in the Financial Service sector and/or Private sector.
  • Ability to translate complex service models into clear, persuasive written narratives for bid evaluation.
  • Understanding of service design principles, including KPIs, SLAs, governance models, and control frameworks.
  • Confident senior stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence partners, clients, and internal governance forums.
  • Experience coaching and developing others in solutioning and bid disciplines.

What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions. We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
