About the Role:

Our mid-market transformation business here at PwC UK, within our Consulting practice, has seen some significant growth and prospects over the last few months, and we are looking to grow our capabilities further to meet growing market demands. Our practice is engaged in helping small to medium-sized businesses deliver successful technology-enabled implementations and transformations, and to optimise their investment in technology.

The Mid-Market Transformation Team partners with clients undergoing significant business change, helping them redesign processes, optimise technology investments, and build data-driven decision-making capability. As a Business Analyst, you will play a central role in understanding client needs, capturing requirements, and supporting the delivery of transformation initiatives across finance, operations, digital, and technology domains.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional PwC teams and client stakeholders to translate complex problems into clear, actionable solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on varied projects within the mid-market space, where agility, innovation and strong business acumen are essential. You’ll contribute to shaping transformation outcomes that deliver measurable value and long-term impact for our clients.

What your days will look like:

  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with client stakeholders to understand current processes, challenges and future needs.
  • Develop clear documentation including process maps, user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for optimisation, automation and improved data flow.
  • Support solution design by working with technology, data and change specialists to explore options and recommend the best approach.
  • Participate in workshops, design sprints and testing cycles to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Assist in planning and delivering transformation roadmaps and implementation activities.
  • Support the Change Management and Testing workstreams as needed, helping with change impact assessments, training materials, test planning and test script creation.
  • Contribute to client presentations, proposals and project reporting.

This role is for you if:

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst (consulting or in-house) within transformation projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and insight into meaningful recommendations.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools (e.g. Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Ability to produce clear requirements, user stories and functional documentation.
  • Comfortable facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Understanding of common transformation methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • A versatile and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, operate across multiple workstreams and support a range of transformation activities.
  • Domain knowledge (e.g. Finance, Operations, Manufacturing) desirable.

What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions. We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
