As a Private Equity Independence Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding the firm's integrity while enabling growth. What your days will look like:
- Monitor independence risks across private equity groups, including changes from investments, divestments, and restructuring.
- Apply independence rules (FRC, SEC, Global Policy) to private equity structures across multiple jurisdictions.
- Advise teams and partners on independence issues for complex relationships and portfolio companies.
- Lead and document independence assessments for private equity clients, covering services, relationships, and investments.
- Communicate confidently with senior stakeholders, providing clear guidance and delivering difficult messages when required.
- Support training and knowledge-sharing initiatives for teams working with private equity clients.
- Refine internal policies, procedures, and tools to strengthen independence compliance.
The role is for you if:
- You have a working knowledge of private equity structures, audit processes, and independence regulations (FRC, SEC, GIP, etc.).
- You have proven analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and manage detailed information accurately.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to deliver clear, sometimes challenging messages and interact effectively at all levels.
- You have strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, support, and empathize with client-facing practitioners.
- You are a conscientious, ambitious team player, demonstrating strong self-management and the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced, changing environment.
