Job Description & Summary

About the role

Our collaborative, technology-enabled tax reporting team helps clients deliver robust, efficient and transparent tax accounting and group reporting processes. As a Senior Associate or Manager, you will onboard client groups onto Tax Automate and deliver recurring reporting engagements, working across accounting, tax, data and technology. The role is focused on tax reporting and tax accounting rather than corporation tax return preparation and submission.

What your days will look like

  • Plan and deliver the onboarding of client groups onto the reporting software, agreeing data requirements, responsibilities, delivery approach and reporting timetables.
  • Review, organise and transform client financial and tax data so that it is complete, consistent and suitable for use in the reporting process.
  • Configure and maintain company and period details within the reporting software, reflecting agreed client requirements and tax treatments.
  • Use the software to support the preparation and review of current and deferred tax reporting calculations and related group or entity-level outputs.
  • Investigate data, calculation or reporting issues, resolve queries and document key judgements and adjustments clearly.
  • Maintain or create supporting workpapers, process documentation and client-specific delivery instructions, ensuring a clear audit trail.
  • Coordinate with client finance and tax teams and with internal tax, accounting, data and technology specialists to deliver accurate, timely and repeatable reporting.
  • Manage competing deadlines and delivery risks while maintaining a strong focus on quality and client service.
  • At Manager grade, scope engagements, manage budgets and plans, oversee review, coach team members and act as a key day-to-day client contact.

This role is for you if:

  • You have strong tax accounting and financial accounting knowledge, with relevant experience in corporate tax reporting, tax provisioning or group reporting.
  • You can interpret trial balances, statutory accounts and tax reporting schedules, and understand how current and deferred tax positions flow through the accounts.
  • You are confident reviewing, reconciling and transforming financial data, with strong Excel skills and close attention to quality and detail.
  • You are comfortable using technology to deliver tax work and can understand and explain rules-based calculations, mappings and reporting outputs.
  • You communicate confidently with finance, tax and technology stakeholders, exercise sound judgement and document conclusions clearly.
  • At Manager grade, you can lead engagements, relationships, review and coaching. At Senior Associate grade, you can own significant delivery areas and are ready to build broader leadership capability.
  • You have a relevant professional qualification, international equivalent or demonstrable experience in tax accounting, financial reporting or a closely related field.
