We are a well-established, independently owned firm of chartered accountants and business advisors, offering a comprehensive range of services including audit, accounting, tax, and corporate finance. Our Outsourcing department is rapidly evolving and has quadrupled in size over the past few years to meet the needs of its ever growing portfolio of clients. They typically work with moderately sized firms from a plethora of sectors that require our external expertise to help support them with operating their finance functions. This can be on specific elements, such as data-entry and maintaining their books and records, support with VAT compliance, through to providing them with insightful management accounts. The team also support clients with the design and implementation of bespoke accountancy systems tailored to their individual requirements, with a focus on automation and the improvement of workflows.
This role would suit someone who is a subject matter expert in a range of cloud accounting software, that is also looking to manage their own portfolio of outsourced accounting clients.
As a Systems Implementation & Outsourcing Manager you will have ownership of the following tasks:
- Engaging with clients to understand their operational needs and pain points.
- Using your expert knowledge of packages such as Xero, QuickBooks Online and Sage to recommend optimal cloud accounting solutions.
- Leading on the implementation of designed solutions, ensuring delivery is on time and within budget.
- Taking ownership of outsourcing service delivery for a mixed and demanding portfolio of clients.
- Preparing cash flow reports, budgets, forecasts and projections.
- Supporting, guiding and mentoring team members on work assignments, providing clear instructions and aiding their development.
- Taking an active role in the management and development of the team, including delivering performance feedback and participating in appraisals.
Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:
- Experience managing a portfolio of outsourced accounting clients (minimum criteria).
- Strong systems knowledge of Xero, Dext, Approval Max and QBO, including implementation (minimum criteria).
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified.
- Excellent practical experience of AI and LLM's.
- Up to date working knowledge of tax, including MTD.
- Team management experience, including as a line manager.
