What do the team do?
The team oversee all financial and accounting operations within the business, ensuring all financial transactions and reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with statutory regulations.
The scope of work includes managing the day-to-day operations of the finance function, producing internal and external financial reports and financial risk management.
What will I be doing?
As a Financial Controller you will have ownership of the following tasks:
- Ensuring adherence to group financial policies and procedures.
- Preparing the Price Bailey group consolidated management accounts, including all supporting reporting requirements.
- Assisting in the annual budgeting process, maintenance of rolling budgets and forecasts.
- Ensuring the group\’s VAT compliance.
- Proficient in utilising advancements in accounting software and integrations to enhance efficiency in accounts production and reporting.
- Ensuring the timely completion of regulatory and other surveys, building a system of data collation to automate the process where possible.
- Overseeing the finance reporting offering to the wider firm to ensure its accuracy and completeness.
- Managing the practice expenses software and management accounts function.
What experience do I need?
Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:
- ACA / ACCA fully qualified (minimum criteria).
- Experience of working as a Financial Controller in an accountancy practice (minimum criteria).
- People management and leadership skills.
- Experience in process development and change management.
- Time management, the ability to work to, and meet deadlines.
- Experience of implementing automated processes, and an awareness of technological advances in the accountancy sector.
