Purpose of Role

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic student to join us as a Technical Data Analyst for a one-year placement year. The successful applicant will be enrolled in a Computer Science, Maths or similar numerate degree that allows a placement year. You will join the Data Services Team, receive mentoring and coaching from our expert team, and support the Operations team in achieving their objectives. You will also liaise with external clients, all leading retail brands, gaining exposure to operational workflows and client relationships.

As a Data Analyst, you will work with large data sets, perform ETL tasks, design and develop process changes, and build relationships with stakeholders to design bespoke solutions. You will be exposed to a range of data handling tools (Server, SSMS, SSIS, Trino), data visualisation tools (Power BI, SSRS, Excel, Tableau), languages such as Python and VBA, and renowned ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and data warehouses (Teradata, Snowflake). While no specific technical experience is required, it is advantageous. The position is based in our Manchester office and offers the opportunity to join part‑time or permanent roles after graduation.
