Our refurbished restaurants look stunning, with more on the way, and the food has never been better.
Guests are noticing and the momentum is real.
Now we need Sous Chefs who lead by example and are ready to grow into Head Chefs.
Who we are
Brava Hospitality Group is the home of great restaurant brands.
We're the group behind Prezzo Italian, in towns and cities right across the UK, and a collection of much-loved central London restaurants: Jamie's Italian, Riding House Café, Nessa, Yasmin, Mortimer House Kitchen and, most recently, Bolo by Gennaro.
And we're growing the footprint of every one of our brands.
We're restaurant people at heart, and we believe every guest deserves brilliant food and exceptional hospitality from teams who love what they do.
Prezzo Italian has been bringing the Italian classics to towns and cities across the UK since 2000.
For our 25th birthday we gave it a fresh start: a brand-new look, beautifully redesigned restaurants, and a menu built around the dishes people love, made fresh and cooked properly.
Prezzo Italian is the home of the Italian classics.
We're a business on the way up, and the people who join us now will shape where it goes next.
The role
As Sous Chef at Prezzo Italian, you're your Head Chef's right hand.
You run shifts in the kitchen, keep standards high on every section, and take charge when your Head Chef isn't there.
At Prezzo Italian, it all comes down to two things: the impression we make and the connections we build.
Every guest should leave feeling genuinely looked after, not just served.
That starts with how we treat each other.
Teams who look out for one another, have fun together and take pride in what they do create the moments guests remember and come back for.
As Sous Chef, you help set that tone on every shift.
Food is one of our key pillars, so you'll have the right tools to get it right every time.
Our dedicated chefs website shows exactly what every dish should look like and the right ingredients that go into it, and some of our restaurants use QSR kitchen technology to keep every order flowing.
With your Head Chef and our central team of chefs behind you, this is the place to learn what it takes to run your own kitchen.
- What you'll be responsible for
- Leading the kitchen
- Run the pass and lead shifts with confidence.
- Train and coach the team, helping develop the chefs of tomorrow.
- Step up and run the kitchen in your Head Chef's absence.
- Cooking the Italian classics properly
- Make sure every dish is made fresh, cooked properly and plated to spec.
- Jump on any section when it's needed.
- Work closely with front of house so every guest gets the same great impression.
- Keeping standards high
- Help manage ordering, stock and waste.
- Lead on food safety, allergens and health and safety, every shift.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and audit-ready.
What we're looking for
Are you a Prezzo person?
You're warm, genuine and generous with your time.
You love great food and you love people even more.
You make every guest feel welcome from the moment they walk in, you lift the team around you, and you take pride in getting the little things right.
You bring energy, a sense of fun, and the confidence to make the call.
You're a Sous Chef already, or an experienced chef who is ready for the next step.
- Experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen, including leading shifts.
- Pride in food and consistency, on every plate.
- Calm under pressure, with a people-first approach.
- Good knowledge of food safety, allergens and health and safety.
- Ambition to run your own kitchen one day.
- What's in it for you
You’ll give a lot to this role. Here’s what we give back.
- Reward
- Tronc, so you share in the success of a busy restaurant
- Company pension scheme, if you’re eligible
- Life assurance at 2x your annual pay
- Paid holiday allowance
- Refer a friend and earn up to £1,000
- Time and wellbeing
- Your birthday off, every year
- Free or heavily subsidised meals on shift
- 24/7 GP helpline and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
- Stream (formerly Wagestream), our financial wellbeing app: access pay you've already earned, save straight from your pay, and get tools and guidance to manage your money
- 50% off at Prezzo Italian
- 25% off at every other Brava restaurant
- Share 25% off with up to 5 friends and family, even when you’re not there
- Free Tastecard and the Hospitality Rewards app for retail discounts
- Electric car scheme after one year's service
- Your future
- Ongoing development and coaching
- A clear path to Head Chef
- Opportunities across our other brands
