Start with the Italian classics. Grow with us. Master every section. You can't miss Prezzo Italian right now. Our refurbished restaurants look stunning, with more on the way, and the food has never been better. Guests are noticing and the momentum is real. Now we need chefs at every stage, from first job to seasoned pro, who love food and want to cook it properly.
Who we are: Brava Hospitality Group is the home of great restaurant brands. We're the group behind Prezzo Italian, in towns and cities right across the UK, and a collection of much-loved central London restaurants: Jamie's Italian, Riding House Café, Nessa, Yasmin, Mortimer House Kitchen and, most recently, Bolo by Gennaro. And we're growing the footprint of every one of our brands. We're restaurant people at heart, and we believe every guest deserves brilliant food and exceptional hospitality from teams who love what they do.
Prezzo Italian has been bringing the Italian classics to towns and cities across the UK since 2000. For our 25th birthday we gave it a fresh start: a brand-new look, beautifully redesigned restaurants, and a menu built around the dishes people love, made fresh and cooked properly. Prezzo Italian is the home of the Italian classics. We're a business on the way up, and the people who join us now will shape where it goes next.
The role: Our chefs grow through three levels, based on how many sections of the kitchen you can cover. You start at Level 1, develop at Level 2 and reach mastery at Level 3. Whatever your experience, we'll find the right level for you, and rates of pay are different depending on your level and experience.
- Level 1: start - You're starting your kitchen career. You'll learn to prep and cook our dishes the right way, alongside experienced chefs who want to see you succeed. New to kitchens? You'll get full training and a team that has your back from day one.
- Level 2: growth - You've got some kitchen experience and you're ready to build on it. You can cover several sections with confidence, cook every dish properly, and keep adding new sections as you grow.
- Level 3: mastery - You're one of the most experienced cooks in the kitchen. You're proficient across every section, so you can step in wherever you're needed, keep things moving when it's busy and support your Sous Chef when needed.
At Prezzo Italian, it all comes down to two things: the impression we make and the connections we build. Every guest should leave feeling genuinely looked after, not just served. That starts with how we treat each other. Teams who look out for one another, have fun together and take pride in what they do create the moments guests remember and come back for. Food is one of our key pillars, so you'll have support from our central team of chefs and the right tools to get it right every time.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Cooking the Italian classics properly.
- Prep fresh ingredients and cook every dish fresh, properly and to spec.
- Cover your sections confidently through prep and service, and learn new ones as you grow.
- Keep quality consistent, even on the busiest nights.
- Help your teammates when it gets busy, and step in wherever the kitchen needs you.
- Work closely with front of house so every plate goes out right.
- Follow food safety, allergen and health and safety procedures every time.
- Keep your section clean, organised and well stocked.
- At Level 3, help with stock rotation, ordering and keeping waste down.
What we're looking for: Are you a Prezzo person? You're warm, genuine and generous with your time. You love great food and you love people even more. You make every guest feel welcome from the moment they walk in, you lift the team around you, and you take pride in getting the little things right. You bring energy, a sense of fun, and the confidence to make the call.
- A love of food and a real desire to learn and grow.
- Energy, good organisation and a positive attitude, even on the busiest nights.
- A team player who's happy to muck in.
- Pride in getting the details right.
- For Level 2, kitchen experience and confidence on more than one section.
- For Level 3, proficiency across every section and good knowledge of food safety and allergens.
- Experience is great, but it isn't essential to start at Level 1. Your attitude matters most, and we'll teach you the rest.
What's in it for you: You'll give a lot to this role. Here's what we give back.
- Tronc, so you share in the success of a busy restaurant.
- Company pension scheme, if you're eligible.
- Life assurance at 2x your annual pay.
- Paid holiday allowance.
- Refer a friend and earn up to £1,000.
Time and wellbeing:
- Your birthday off, every year.
- Free or heavily subsidised meals on shift.
- 24/7 GP helpline and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
- Stream (formerly Wagestream), our financial wellbeing app: access pay you've already earned, save straight from your pay, and get tools and guidance to manage your money.
- Free regulated mortgage advice at Level 3.
- 50% off at Prezzo Italian.
- 25% off at every other Brava restaurant.
- Share 25% off with up to 5 friends and family, even when you're not there.
- Free Tastecard and the Hospitality Rewards app for retail discounts.
- Electric car scheme after one year's service at Level 3.
Your future: Full training and ongoing development. A clear path from Level 1 to Level 3, then on to Sous Chef and Head Chef. Opportunities across our other brands.
Ready to join us? This is an exciting time for Prezzo Italian, and where we go next will be shaped by the people who join us now. Whether you're cooking your first plate or you've mastered every section, if you love food and want to be part of a kitchen team that's proud of every plate, we'd love to hear from you.
