Due to continued growth, this highly respected law firm is looking to hire Associate level lawyers (circa 5 PQE) to join their personal injury team based in Glasgow.
The responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with clients, third parties and solicitors, keeping clients up to date with the progression of their cases
- Updating reports and dealing with correspondence
- Dealing with all types - Fast track and Multi-track cases
- Reviewing all evidence and establishing prospects of success
- Reviewing and valuing injury claims
- Preparing witness statements
- Drafting Court proceedings
- Drafting various relevant court documents
- Reviewing and valuing credit hire and other special damages
- Complying with court directions
- Dealing with applications and court hearings
- Negotiating settlements
Requirements:
- Solid background in personal injury and ideally with experience of RTA
- Excellent communication skills
- A desire to join an ambitious and growing law firm
- Experience of mentoring junior lawyers would be an advantage but not essential
