On our 21-month apprenticeship programme you will learn the skills to become a successful Traffic Management Operative with a fantastic range of future career options ahead of you. Following successful completion of your apprenticeship you will be offered a permanent role, with one of the best rental equipment providers in the industry.

On a daily basis, you’ll work within one of our depots and travel to sites where you will learn to:

  • Deliver and install traffic management equipment to customer sites, in line with Sunbelt Rentals standards and legal guidelines
  • Establish traffic management schemes and deal with ongoing traffic issues
  • Ensure customers are fully briefed on the correct use of equipment and can operate safely
  • Check all returned traffic management equipment against relevant documentation
  • Maintain traffic equipment and carry out effective repairs
  • Understand all procedures and develop the ability to complete documentation accurately, predominantly using an electronic device
  • Communicate effectively with customers and the public.

We’ll provide you with a comprehensive company induction, role-specific training, and apprenticeship support. You will become a part of a larger apprentice cohort where you will be able to form lifelong relationships and engage in a wider support network. We’ll also support your personal growth and development in line with your Sunbelt Rentals career aspirations. You will attend both in-house and manufacturer courses to expand your product knowledge and skills.

You will be completing a level 2 Lead Traffic Management Operative Apprenticeship Standard. This will be delivered using a combination of:

  • Workplace experience to gain practical skills
  • Guidance and training from an experienced workplace mentor
  • Industry recognised training, delivered in the workplace and leading to an apprenticeship qualification.

About the Application Process:

  • Complete the application
  • You will be asked some additional screening questions, which will need to be completed before progressing to the next stage of the process
  • Your application will be reviewed by our Recruitment Team and you may be invited to complete a video interview
  • If successful at video interview, you will then be invited to one of our online assessment centres.
  • From there, again if successful, your application will be passed to the hiring manager at Sunbelt Rentals, who will arrange an interview with you at the centre/depot.
