About Prevail Partners

Prevail Partners is a specialist risk management, intelligence, security, and operational support company delivering discreet, professional and unrelenting excellence to clients operating in complex environments. As our client portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking exceptional Close Protection Officers to join our expanding team. We are looking for individuals who take genuine pride in their appearance, conduct and professionalism, and who understand that providing security is about far more than physical protection. It is about building trust, demonstrating discretion and delivering a first-class service at all times. Our teams are trusted to protect people, property, and reputations. Success in this role requires professionalism, discretion, strong judgement, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards.

The Role

We are seeking experienced Close Protection Officers to join a collaborative security team supporting a Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) family and associated household members. The role requires regular travel throughout the UK and occasional overnight stays. Depending on operational requirements, deployments may last from a single day to extended periods of one week or more. Working as part of an established protective security team, you will be responsible for delivering close protection services, maintaining situational awareness, identifying emerging risks and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all household members. This position operates on a shift rotation pattern. This position offers flexibility in terms of where candidates are based within the UK; however, the successful individual must be able to travel with limited notice whenever business needs require. Given the responsive nature of the role, applicants must have sufficient availability to undertake assignments as they arise and should not have competing full-time employment, security commitments, or other obligations that could affect their ability to mobilise quickly. Candidates are encouraged to consider any professional, personal, or family commitments that may impact their availability, as a high degree of flexibility and readiness to deploy is essential to success in this role.

Requirements

  • Provide close protection to principals during daily activities, travel, events and residential movements.
  • Conduct dynamic and formal risk assessments.
  • Monitor environments for potential threats and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Support secure transportation and movement planning.
  • Maintain a vigilant presence whilst remaining professional, discreet, and unobtrusive.
  • Coordinate effectively with family members, household staff and wider security teams.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents and changing threat environments.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, reports and documentation.
  • Provide practical personal security guidance to principals where required.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and professional standards at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' Close Protection experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience supporting UHNW individuals or families.
  • Valid SIA Close Protection Licence.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Valid medical qualification such as FREC 3, FPOS or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of threat assessment, protective security and emergency response procedures.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, travel and stay away from home when required.
  • Impeccable references and professional reputation.

Additional Compliance Requirements

Successful candidates will be required to provide:

  • Enhanced DBS certification.
  • Verification of SIA Close Protection Licence, including licence number and expiry date.
  • Evidence of SIA Close Protection top-up/refresher training where applicable.
  • Medical qualification certificates (FREC 3, FPOS or equivalent).
  • Driving licence and consent for DVLA checks.
  • Any safeguarding documentation required for working in environments where children may be present.

What We're Looking For

  • Take pride in their personal presentation and professional standards.
  • Understand the importance of discretion within a family environment.
  • Can provide support and reassurance without becoming intrusive.
  • Maintain clear professional boundaries at all times.
  • Demonstrate integrity, maturity and sound judgement.
  • Share our commitment to delivering discreet, professional, and unrelenting excellence.

Benefits

In addition to a competitive day rate, consultants engaged on this project will benefit from a range of deployment-related support and amenities, including:

  • High-quality accommodation provided throughout the deployment period.
  • Access to excellent on-site facilities, including a fully equipped gym and recreational spaces.
  • Daily meals prepared by a private chef, ensuring a varied and nutritious dining experience.
  • The opportunity to work alongside highly experienced professionals in a unique and rewarding operational environment.
  • Exposure to complex projects and clients, providing valuable professional development and experience.
  • For many consultants, one of the highlights of the role is the quality of the living environment during deployment. Accommodation is provided on-site within a secure and well-maintained compound, offering comfortable living standards, excellent facilities, and a strong sense of team community.
