About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to lead the end-to-end bid process across our business units, playing a key role in securing new business and supporting our continued growth.

This is a strategic and highly collaborative role, requiring excellent project management skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business.

You will manage multiple concurrent bids and competing priorities, ensuring proposals are delivered to a consistently high standard, on time and in line with client requirements.

You will bring a proventrack recordof managing successful bids across public sector and commercial environments, with the ability to introduce structure, paceand best practice to our growing bid function.

Beyond individual bids, you will help strengthen our overall bid capability by improving understanding of the bid process, sharing bestpracticeand supporting a consistent approach across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the end-to-end bid lifecycle, from RFIs and PQQs through to ITTs, ITNs, RFPs and RFQs, ensuring effective governance and application of bid best practice.
  • Mentor and support juniormembers of the team, providing guidance, knowledgesharing andopportunitiesfor developmentto buildconfidence andcapability.
  • Manage multiple concurrent bids, ensuring timelines, milestones, resourcesand deliverables are effectively coordinated.
  • Develop clear bid strategies and win themes aligned to client requirements and evaluation criteria.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and subject matter experts, ensuring high-quality contributions are delivered on time.
  • Review and interpret tender documentation, identifyingkey requirements, risks, opportunitiesand areas for differentiation.
  • Work collaboratively with Commercial, Operations, Technical, Finance, Legal and Marketing teams to develop compelling and commercially strong proposals.
  • Ensure all submissions areaccurate, compliant, high quality and aligned with Prevail’s brand and proposition.
  • Lead bid reviews and quality assurance processes, challenging content whererequiredto strengthen submissions.
  • Maintain and continuously improve bid processes, templates, contentlibrariesand best practice across the business.
  • Lead post-bid reviews, capturing lessons learned andidentifyingopportunities to improve future bids and win rates.
  • Provide regular updates on bid progress, risks, prioritiesand resource requirements to relevant stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in bid management, with a demonstrabletrack recordof successfully managing and winning complex bids.
  • Experiencemanagingbids within regulated, public sector, defence, or government procurement environmentsand commercial environments.
  • Strong understanding of government and public sector procurement processes.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent bids and complex stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, persuasiveand compelling content.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand client requirements and develop effective win strategies.
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts acrossdifferent functions.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Word and Power Point.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • APMP certification or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable but not essential wherea track recordof proven success can bedemonstrated.
