Roles and Responsibilities
- Able to support the merchandising team with the day to day running of the department, reporting into Merchandiser.
- Takes accountability and is confident to deputise in the absence of merchandiser.
- Supporting the team on data analysis and reporting for all key meetings.
- Reviewing historical data such as best and worst to present back to buying and design teams ahead of sign off meetings.
- Forecast line flows weekly and setting these up for the season to highlight risks and opportunities.
- Updating department WSSI weekly.
- Able to forecast using ROS/Sell thru/Cover, in line with supporting company objectives.
- Setting up and managing Continuity, Seasonal and Subgroup WSSIs - to manage sales for key categories such as knitwear in more detail.
- Supporting with production planning and preparing for continuity sign offs.
- Managing critical path and delivery schedule collaboratively with buying team.
- Managing the intake of stock and forecasting to support the sales forecasting of each brand.
- Managing weekly size analysis for new season collections and continuity.
- Able to support on the costing of markdown with support of the Merchandiser Trade.
- Taking ownership of trade reporting and commentary for key departments, being able to present in trade meetings with teams across the business.
- Ensuring all reporting is up to date first thing on a Monday to allow merch to review trade.
- Setting up reports from scratch and adding amends to existing reports.
- Reviewing high stock lines and feeding back to merch - working with marketing and ecom teams to push necessary styles.
- Keeping repeats tracker up to date weekly for all teams, reviewing any opportunity and risks to merch.
- Working closely with logistics team in movement of stock to maximise opportunity.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Prior experience of line flows, WSSIs and trade reporting and forecasting.
- Experience on both ladies and menswear preferable but not essential.
- Advanced level of excel skills, can set up reports from scratch.
- Ability to work across multiple teams within the business, with great communication skills.
- A strong team player with a can-do attitude.
- Great numerical ability and strong attention to detail.
