What we’re looking for: We’re looking for passionate team players to bring joy to our customers every day. As a Senior Procurement Manager you’ll work to effectively business partner our Property division to drive best in class supplier selection and project execution across our construction and equipment spend.

Key responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for the strategic scoping and planning of procurement resource within the organisation.
  • Report directly to the Group Buying Director, and be responsible for the line management of a Procurement Manager.
  • Business partner with internal departments to ensure new and existing contracts are fit for purpose.
  • Responsible for delivery of end-to-end procurement processes, from inception to completion & review.
  • Management of the supplier base ensuring suppliers are fit for the future across cost, quality, reliability and capacity.
  • Take full ownership of the procurement spend-improvement strategy, using forward-thinking approaches to enhance efficiency and support business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal, legal and industry regulations.
Experience and Skills required:
  • Excellent stakeholder and project management skills, and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Proven track record of cost-saving initiatives and ability to deliver projects meeting cost, time and budget targets with a clear understanding of P&L impacts.
  • Excellent negotiation & persuasion skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and challenging timelines.
  • Experience in quick service restaurants, and construction experience is preferred.
  • Great experience and understanding of contracts covering construction, goods and services and ability to work together with our excellent legal team.
  • Excellent team player open to developing Procurement across Pret.
  • Excellent supplier management skills, conflict management and resolution.
  • Excellent excel, word and power point skills to produce effective data and reporting.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills to bring on board and win over stakeholders.

We offer £60,000 - £70,000 plus 10% annual bonus potential. Gold Card: We love making people’s day through our food and drinks. That goes for our teams too. That’s why everyone gets a Gold Card. And when you’re not, you can use your Gold Card to get up to 5 Barista-made drinks a day, and 50% off everything else (food, snacks, bottled drinks – the lot).

The interview journey:

Every interview process at Pret begins with the same two stages. First, you’ll have a relaxed 30-minute conversation with our recruitment team so we can get to know you and your experience. Next, you’ll be invited to a one-hour, in-person interview with the hiring manager at our Head Office in London Victoria. Depending on the role and function, there may be additional stages. These could include time spent in one of our shops, completing a task, or meeting a senior leader.
