The Payroll team consists of 4 people responsible for paying over 7,500 employees weekly and 1,000 monthly.
Overview of Role
This role reports to the Payroll Supervisor and manages weekly payroll for all shops in London and the Regions, ensuring timely and accurate payments. You will ensure payroll duties are performed efficiently and in compliance with company and statutory regulations.
What will I be doing?
You will ensure all weekly paid employees are paid accurately and on time by liaising with Shop Managers, Ops Managers, and employees. You will also ensure compliance with statutory regulations by liaising with Inland Revenue and the DWP.
Responsibilities
- Processing weekly payroll input
- Managing maternity, paternity, and statutory payments
- Pension administration
- RTI administration
- Liaising with third-party organizations (DWP, HMRC, etc.)
- Checking and completing audit reports
- Handling court order processing and payments
- Assisting the Payroll Supervisor
- Providing payroll training for new shop managers
- Performing ad hoc requests
This role is based in London.
What are we looking for?
We seek someone with strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks. Excellent organizational skills, proficiency in Excel, and attention to detail are essential. A good understanding of statutory and PAYE compliance is required, with experience in Workday preferred.
