What we’re looking for

We’re looking for passionate team players to bring joy to our customers every day. As a Supply Chain Demand & Forecast Planner, you’ll deliver service excellence from Pret’s suppliers and Logistics Partner to UK Shops with the aim of Zero Out of Stock Situations and enable them to proudly make every product right first time. You will maintain outstanding working relationships between our 3PL, our shops and our suppliers.

Key responsibilities

  • Working with Pret’s nominated distributors and suppliers in the UK to ensure full stock availability on time and in full.
  • To review Supplier service level reporting and investigate areas of concern and resolve by initiating supplier meetings to discuss poor levels of service and agreeing action plans to improve service levels.
  • To monitor and make effective decisions on the clearance of non-moving and de-listed products and stocks.
  • To monitor and make effective decisions on stock availability and shop prioritisation/allocation where necessary.
  • Deliver simple and effective communication of supply issues to shops.
  • Manage all new requests for non-food items such as small equipment and uniforms and analyse all spend that falls outside the approved supplier listing.
  • Management of initial stock allocations to shops where necessary.
  • Lead forecasting meetings with non-food suppliers to deliver contracted service levels from suppliers to 3PLs.
  • Lead the supply chain input to packaging supplier scorecard sessions in collaboration with the Head of Packaging.
  • Resolve all non-food supply Helpdesk queries for UK shops and Support Centre teams and implement corrective actions with suppliers to prevent recurring issues.
  • Management of the "Launch Tracker" process for all food launches with Best FL and work with commercial co-ordinator to ensure all information required is captured.
  • Lead the Pret Supply Chain interactions with the Irish Franchisee and Distributor, including Monthly pricing structures, system updates, 3PL & 4PL communications and supply resolutions.
  • Attend weekly food meeting and ensure the end to end supply chain is considered and managed for all food launches, including small equipment.
  • Forecast volume increases and decreases and communicate these changes to suppliers within agreed lead times according to New Product Launch schedule and seasonal trends.
  • Owning New Goods Ordering Information documentation, manage contributors and the briefing to shop teams.
  • Supporting International teams with UK Product data for system set up in global markets.
  • To work with the Logistics team to prepare and issue the Supply and Logistics KPI reports on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
  • To be involved in ad-hoc projects as required.
  • To attend a number of Buddy Days in a designated shop.
  • Weekend on call cover for issues that need to be escalated by the distributor.

Experience and Skills required

  • Minimum 5 years experience QSR/Foodservice/Food retail supply chain management.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to develop and produce reports.
  • Experience of cross functional working.
  • Initiative and ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritise.
  • Excellent communication skills.

The interview journey

Every interview process at Pret begins with the same two stages. First, you’ll have a relaxed 30-minute conversation with our recruitment team so we can get to know you and your experience. Next, you’ll be invited to a one-hour, in-person interview with the hiring manager at our Head Office in London Victoria. Depending on the role and function, there may be additional stages. These could include time spent in one of our shops, completing a task, or meeting a senior leader.
