What we’re looking for
We’re looking for passionate, curious and analytical team players to bring joy to our customers every day. This is a high‑impact role at the centre of Pret’s transformation, reporting to the Strategy & Transformation Director. You will combine structured problem‑solving, execution, data analysis and strong communication skills to help shape strategic priorities, improve business performance and drive meaningful change across the organisation. You will play a key role in turning data into actionable insight, improving how we work through better processes and automation, and supporting senior stakeholders—including the Global Leadership Team—with clear, high‑quality thinking and outputs (think Board & Exec Co packs, roadmaps, reports, workflows, workshop approaches etc).
Working at pace and often with ambiguity, you will be expected to take ownership of defined deliverables and contribute directly to transformation initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes for our customers, our shops and our teams. As a critical member of the transformation team, your pace and resilience is key to setting up our teams for success and helping to remain on track to navigate the transformation plan. This will include supporting the market and global teams with planning, measuring success, and helping them to understand areas of opportunity for improvement. You will own key parts of the transformational change the team makes to business processes as well as have an active role in governance at both the GLT and team levels of the business. This role also provides many opportunities to develop your Project Management skills, delivering tangible benefits and communicating progress of our strategy to our customers, our shops & the wider business.
You will be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to multi‑task. This role requires individuals who can juggle a varied workload with various work requests coming from a range of individuals. Relationship building is a key feature of this role, and it is essential that the new Analyst will be good at forming and maintaining relationships at all levels.
Key responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end analysis for transformation initiatives—from problem definition through to insight and recommendation.
- Partner with teams across markets and functions (marketing, operations, people, supply chain, finance, technology etc.) to embed change and drive adoption.
- Facilitate key planning, governance and delivery sessions, ensuring clarity of actions, ownership and follow‑through.
- Produce high‑quality communication materials, including presentations and briefing documents, to clearly articulate insights, recommendations and communications across all our teams.
- Build, maintain and continuously improve performance tracking, including automated dashboards and reporting (e.g. Power BI, Excel models).
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights to support decision‑making at all levels, including the GLT and Board.
- Identify and deliver opportunities for automation, including the use of AI and digital tools (e.g. Copilot, Claude and other LLM‑based solutions).
Experience and Skills required
- Project management & planning to co‑ordinate & deliver outcomes across cross‑functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems into structured approaches, translating insight into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to confidently engage stakeholders from internal leadership teams through to shop teams, from franchise partners to suppliers.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience facilitating workshops across different functional disciplines & levels of seniority.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to deliver consistently high‑quality outputs.
- Advanced Excel skills, including modelling and scenario analysis & Powerpoint for story telling.
- Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) desired.
- Experience in using AI tools (e.g. Copilot or other LLMs) to enhance productivity, automate tasks and generate insights desired.
- Understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, or similar) and process mapping approaches desired.
