What we're looking for
We're looking for passionate team players to bring joy to our customers every day. As an experienced Multi Skilled Electrical Technician you'll report to the Technician Team Leader, and you will be part of a high performing group of multi skilled Techs responsible for providing electrical and general fabric maintenance to our shops in the Pret estate to ensure our shops remain well loved and compliant.
Key responsibilities
- You will use your experience and knowledge to complete various jobs within agreed SLA's, being aware of causing minimal disruption to the operation of the shops.
- Confidently finding the reason why equipment is not working and complete necessary repairs as quickly as possible.
- Service and maintain electrical equipment within our shops.
- Installing and maintaining lighting and replacing lamps and fittings.
- Replacing plugs and sockets.
- Dealing with other electrical jobs as requested.
- Minor fabric repairs and painting.
- Replacement of toilet seats.
- Damaged plaster, brick slips and minor wall repairs.
- Chair, table and bench repairing.
- Any other reasonable requests for building fabric maintenance repairs made by the facilities team.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including waste disposal, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Comfortable working at height and using a range of tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to specifications.
- Basic computer skills (able to use a hand-held device for reporting).
- Communicate effectively with our shop teams and colleagues regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
This role is a permanent role that will cover all Pret shops within the estate so nationwide travel may be necessary from time to time. You will work on a rota system with the hours of work covering between 7am - 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 4:30pm Saturday and Sunday although flexibility is required.
Skills and Experience required
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background and at least 2 years' experience in Electrical work.
- Relevant trade qualification (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds) with possession of all relevant electrical qualifications (minimum 18th edition) with paperwork to support.
- Experience in knowing when and how to escalate highly sensitive reactive maintenance issues.
- Fast to respond and concise.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
