What we’re looking for: We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded finance professional to join our Group Finance team as a Group Reporting Manager. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting across the business, helping to inform decision making at the highest levels of the organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders including the CFO, CEO and Pret's owners, JAB, you'll lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly Group reporting, ensure the integrity of financial information and support compliance across our international markets. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how the business measures performance while developing expertise across Group accounting, consolidation, governance and investor reporting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly Group reporting, including Board reporting packs.
  • Prepare Group financial statements and reporting for external audiences.
  • Produce monthly Group consolidations and supporting notes.
  • Own the finance calendar and coordinate the month-end close process.
  • Prepare Group profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and bank covenant reporting, including financial commentary.
  • Prepare and review Group accounting entries in line with IFRS and UK GAAP requirements.
  • Manage the Group balance sheet review process and partner with market finance teams.
  • Act as the reporting systems champion, developing expertise in NetSuite, Power BI and Solution7.
  • Prepare quarterly investor reporting, delivering clear and insightful commentary on financial and strategic performance.
  • Produce financial reporting and information for the Group's banking syndicate.
  • Support the control environment through finance review processes and controls documentation.
  • Partner with colleagues across multiple markets to ensure compliance with Group policies and controls.

Experience and Skills required:

  • Professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) for at least 3-5 years.
  • In-depth understanding of, and experience of finance transaction processes; accounting controls; general ledger related entries under IFRS & UK GAAP.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with financial statement preparation experience.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP is essential including current and upcoming accounting standards.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and ideally accounting system knowledge.
  • Resilient – able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to present complex information in a format that is easily understood by the audience.
  • Approachable, confident and personable.
  • Hands-on with complex system and data when required.
  • Make sound judgement in complex situations and can deal with ambiguity.

  • Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 plus 20% bonus potential.

First, you’ll have a relaxed 30-minute conversation with our recruitment team so we can get to know you and your experience. Next, you’ll be invited to a one-hour, in-person interview with the hiring manager at our Head Office in London Victoria. Depending on the role and function, there may be additional stages.
