The Role
This role sits within the Group Finance team based in London and reports into the Finance Manager. The role is to support the US based finance team with the delivery of accounting and reporting services.

Responsibilities

Core reporting
- Facilitate the monthly reporting process with the US finance team.
- Monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting to the US finance team.
- Analyse and report on market costs and trends to add insight.
- Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
- Responsibility for all prepayment, accrual and control accounts.
- Responsibility for all fixed asset and project accounting.
- Responsibility for recording and reporting on payroll costs in NetSuite.
- Responsibility for all lease and property accounting for Head Office and the shop estate.
- Responsibility for all cost and stock accounting for the US warehouse.
- Responsibility for US market deliverables for the year end audit.
- Record accurate and timely financial information to aid market decision making.
- Data and system migrations.
- Create, review and implement new processes and controls.
- Support the IT team with new systems and processes.
- Compliance mindset towards process and controls.
- Ability to assess and propose solutions to problems.
- Support team members with their daily activities as and when required.
- Proactively highlight and escalate any issues or challenges.
- Work collaboratively with teams across the US business.
- Able to effectively communicate and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Resilient and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
- A professional accounting qualification is required.
- Previous management accounting experience is required.
- Retail and / or hospitality industry experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and a familiarity with Oracle NetSuite is preferable.
