We are recruiting for an apprentice receptionist at our care home Covent House to provide a welcoming first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and professionals entering the care home. The Apprentice Receptionist supports the smooth day-to-day running of the reception and assists with administrative tasks to ensure high standards of service and confidentiality within the care setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet all visitors, residents, and staff in a professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere in the reception area.
  • Ensure all visitors sign in/out in line with care home policies and safeguarding procedures.
  • Manage incoming telephone calls.
  • Provide refreshments to visitors and guests when required.
  • Set up and maintain tidy, professional, and accessible reception and communal areas.
  • Assist in booking and preparing meeting rooms for staff and external visitors.
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, archiving, and updating records.
  • Order and manage stationery and office supplies.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post for the care home.
  • Support the Home Manager and other care home staff with administrative duties.
  • Drive, establish and maintain our CORE values throughout your team.
