Prestwick Aerosystems is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we’re looking for Graduate Engineers to join our Engineering team in Prestwick. This is a chance to start your career in a highly technical aerospace environment, working on real engineering challenges across the aircraft lifecycle — from concept and design, through manufacture and production support, to in‑service improvement.
You’ll join a collaborative engineering community supporting world‑class aerostructures and will have the opportunity to develop within one of several specialist areas, including Design, Structures, Manufacturing and Automation.
As a Graduate Engineer, you will build your technical knowledge while contributing to meaningful engineering activity across the business. Depending on your placement, you could be involved in product design, structural analysis, manufacturing process development, or automation and control systems that support production. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and cross‑functional teams, gaining exposure to the tools, methods and standards used to deliver high‑quality aerospace products for our customers.
How You Will Contribute to the Team
- Support engineering activity within your specialist area, contributing to the design, analysis, manufacture or automation of aerostructures.
- Use technical tools and systems to produce accurate outputs, such as drawings, calculations, work instructions, reports or equipment support solutions.
- Work with other engineering and operational teams to solve problems, support product improvement and maintain compliance with business and customer requirements.
- Build your capability through hands‑on experience, learning from experienced colleagues and developing an understanding of aerospace engineering standards and processes.
Specialist Areas May Include
- Design Engineering – performing CAD modelling, creating drawings and supporting technical responses to manufacturing queries.
- Structures Engineering – creating analysis to support substantiation activities and ensure structural integrity.
- Manufacturing Engineering – creating work instructions, supporting process improvement and production engineering activity.
- Automation Engineering – supporting automated equipment, PLCs, control systems and maintenance improvement activities.

- You have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
