Prestwick Aerosystems continues Ayrshire's longstanding aircraft manufacturing heritage. From our Prestwick site, we manufacture major wing structures used on Airbus programmes worldwide. We're investing in how data is used across the business and are looking for an experienced Digital Data Specialist to take ownership of our enterprise data landscape. This is a key technical position responsible for the data platforms, architecture and governance that enable decision-making across the organisation.
You will:
- Own the company's enterprise data architecture, including data warehouses, databases and associated data platforms, ensuring they remain secure, scalable and fit for the future
- Lead the transition of new data technologies into service, providing technical leadership on data projects and cloud-based solutions
- Establish and govern standards for data management, security, compliance and access, protecting critical business and manufacturing information
- Act as the senior technical authority for data and analytics, partnering with stakeholders and suppliers to enable high-quality reporting, insight and business intelligence
Requirements for the role:
- Significant experience managing enterprise data platforms, databases or data warehouse environments within a complex business environment
- Expertise in data architecture, governance and information security, including regulatory and compliance requirements
- Experience leading data transformation, migration or modernisation initiatives involving cloud-based technologies
- Experience managing third-party suppliers, technical partners or managed services supporting data platforms
