Prestons are recruiting an Email & Digital Designer at our Head Office in Macclesfield. Supporting both the Marketing and Studio teams by creating engaging digital designs across email and website platforms. Working closely with the Content teams, the Digital Designer helps bring campaigns to life through thoughtful, high-quality design that reflects the Prestons brand and our luxury brand partners.

A successful Digital Designer has a strong understanding of digital design principles and a good knowledge of digital marketing. They design and build email campaigns, support website content, and analyse campaign performance to help continually improve engagement and effectiveness. While the primary focus of the role is digital, the Digital Designer also provides creative support on print-based projects, such as luxury invitations, event collateral and in-store materials, when required.

Sitting within the Prestons Studio and reporting to the Studio Manager, the Email & Digital Designer works closely with the Marketing team to deliver high-quality digital communications with a particular focus on email.

  • Responsibilities
  • Design and build engaging email campaigns using Mailchimp, including layout, imagery, formatting and content integration.
  • Work alongside the marketing team to deliver the email marketing calendar, supporting campaign launches and ongoing communications.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of email automation journeys and customer lifecycle campaigns.
  • Support with monitoring and analysing email campaign performance, producing insights and recommendations to improve open rates, click-through rates, conversions and overall engagement.
  • Support audience segmentation, A/B testing and continuous optimisation of email campaigns.
  • Adapt existing creative across multiple digital channels while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with the Studio Manager, Marketing and Creative Teams to ensure all creative aligns with the Prestons brand and our brand partners.
  • Ensure all artwork is produced accurately, efficiently and in line with brand guidelines.
  • Provide creative support on selected print-based projects including luxury invitations, event collateral, point-of-sale material and signage, where required.
  • Liaise with external suppliers or agencies when sharing artwork or supporting creative production.
  • Maintain organised project files and adhere to internal workflows and naming conventions.
  • Keep up to date with digital design trends, email marketing best practice and emerging technologies to continually improve creative output.
  • Key Skills / Experience
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a digital marketing or digital design role, or a relevant qualification in Graphic Design, Digital Media or Visual Communication.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating digital design work, including email campaigns, website assets, and other marketing collateral.
  • Experience designing and building email campaigns within Mailchimp or a similar email marketing platform.
  • Experience with Figma is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of email marketing principles, customer journeys, campaign planning and digital marketing best practice.
  • Ability to interpret campaign performance data and make recommendations for continual improvement.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Experience with website content management systems would be advantageous.
  • Strong HTML knowledge.
  • Excellent understanding of typography, layout, visual hierarchy and digital design principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand consistency.
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across Marketing, Studio and wider business functions.
  • Print design experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
