Data Centre Shift Technician

Up to £48,000 + Overtime (rising to £50,000 after probation)

We are currently recruiting for multiple Data Centre Shift Technicians to join a leading facilities management provider, delivering engineering support across a high-security, mission-critical Data Centre environment in Corsham. This is an excellent opportunity for electrically biased engineers looking to break into, or further develop within, the Data Centre sector. Full training and clear career progression are provided.
Key Responsibilities:- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on critical M&E systems
- Working on equipment including UPS systems, generators, HVAC plant, AHUs and FCUs
- Diagnosing and rectifying electrical and mechanical faults
- Carrying out repairs and small installations as required
- Managing subcontractors and overseeing specialist works
- Procuring parts and materials as needed
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures, including permits to work and risk assessments
- Maintaining accurate records, logbooks, and documentation
- Electrical or Mechanical engineering background (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Previous experience within a commercial, industrial, or critical environment
- Strong understanding of building services / M&E systems
- Willingness to work a continental shift pattern (days and nights)
- HV/LV experience is advantageous but not essential (training provided)
- Salary up to £48,000, rising to £50,000 after probation
- Plenty of overtime available
- 20 days annual leave
- Full uniform and tools provided
- Ongoing training (HVAP/LVAP, Mechanical AP, ILM, CNet)
- Clear progression into Authorised Person and leadership roles
