The Opportunity

A leading hyperscale data centre developer and operator is seeking an experienced

Quality & EHS Manager to establish and lead the quality, compliance and health & safety framework across a growing portfolio of European Hyperscale Data Centre developments.

This is a unique opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of growth, where you will have genuine ownership in shaping operational standards, management systems and compliance strategies across critical infrastructure environments.

Working closely with senior leadership, engineering, operations and facilities teams, you will play a key role in embedding a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement and accountability.

The Role

As Quality & EHS Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the organisation’s Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety and Compliance frameworks, ensuring all data centre operations meet industry standards, customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include

  • Build and develop the Quality, Compliance and EHS framework across European data centre operations.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing management of ISO management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and ISO 50001.
  • Manage certification processes, external audits and relationships with third-party assessors.
  • Develop health and safety strategies, policies and procedures across operational sites.
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with operational procedures, SLAs and industry best practice.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote operational discipline across engineering and facilities teams.
  • Support business continuity, risk management and disaster recovery planning.
  • Ensure contractors, suppliers and vendors meet contractual, quality and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, process control and standardisation across teams.
  • Deliver training and guidance to support audit readiness and compliance culture.

About You

You will be an experienced Quality, EHS, HSE, SHEQ or Compliance professional with a proven background developing and managing operational frameworks within complex, regulated environments.

You will ideally have

  • Proven experience within Quality Management, EHS, HSE or Compliance leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards and management systems.
  • Experience leading audits, certifications and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Experience developing processes, policies and frameworks from the ground up.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within one or more of the following environments would be highly advantageous:
  • Hyperscale or colocation data centres
  • Mission-critical facilities
  • Critical infrastructure
  • Facilities management
  • Construction or major projects
  • Pharmaceutical, semiconductor or highly regulated industries
  • Additional experience with risk management methodologies, business continuity, environmental standards and operational excellence frameworks would be beneficial.
